青年資訊科技大使獎勵計劃 YITAA

2018-2019年度【青年資訊科技大使獎勵計劃】

「青年資訊科技大使獎勵計劃」是一個提供機會讓中學生透過各式各樣學習活動認識資訊科技的獎勵計劃。本計劃 旨在:

  • 培養學生對資訊科技的興趣
  • 培養學生的資訊素養
  • 讓學生善用資訊科技學習,把資訊科技與學科整合應用
  • 鼓勵學生終身學習
  • 透過資訊科技知識回饋社會、服務社區

到目前為止,本計劃有超過120間中學及超過13000名學生參加,參與人數令人鼓舞。更有部份參加學校以本計劃內容,作為校本初中資訊科技課程藍本,並鼓勵全級學生參與,讓學生於學習資訊科技時獲得更大動力和成功感。

本計劃分為金、銀、銅章及證書級四個級別。讓學生循序漸進於資訊科技方面作不同程度的探索;並以六個不同範疇評核,,讓學生對資訊科技作初步認知,務求讓他們能綜合應用資訊科技。本會並會提供不同的活動、比賽或不同形式的服務機會,讓他們能學以致用。

於2016年11月16日,教育局資訊科技教育組發表了香港學生資訊素養2016(初稿),就將資訊素養融入學校課程當中提供了可依據的參考準則。本計劃更加入學生對資訊素養的認識及實踐部分,讓學生了解資訊素養的重要性及對資訊素養在校內的配套和推廣作出反思。本會感謝教育局對本計劃的支持及認同,並成為本計劃的支持機構 。

本會提供的活動形式。本會將會提供不同的活動、比賽或不同形式的服務機會,讓他們能學以致用。曾舉辦或將舉辦的其他學生活動包括:

    • Arduino工作坊、機械人工作坊及其他有關IT的工作坊
    • 中文打字比賽
    • IT講座
    • 參觀IT企業公司及其他資訊科技機構
    • 學生領袖訓練營
    • 提供IT有關義工服務


參加方法

一. 學生報名及報名費

    • 每位參加學生只須繳付一次性參加費用港幣50元正。
    • 學生之計劃成員身份將於中學期間有效,直至學生取得金章或中學畢業。
    • 參加費用為$50,主要為學生印製「挑戰紀錄冊」及參與計劃期間的行政費用。
    • 如學生於計劃期間遺失「挑戰紀錄冊」,需繳付補領費港幣30元正。
    • 除申領不同級別獎章外,學生不需再繳交任何費用。

金章 免費 由學校甄選及提名學生,再由本會評審團作公開評審。

銀章 $20 由負責老師根據計劃內容及要求核實資格。

銅章 $20

證書 $10

二. 報名及付款方法

有興趣在本年度參與本計劃的學校需於2018年10月31日或之前提交以下文件:

i. 學生資料

- 以試算表檔案,內詳列學校名稱、參加同學中文名稱、班別或級別

- 電郵至yitaa@hkace.org.hk

- 檔案名單請以「學校名稱」命名

ii. 學校會員申請表格或續會表格(附件一)

iii. 學校會員年費 及 YITAA學生報名費用

- 支票抬頭為「香港電腦教育學會」

- 郵寄或親身交到「新界將軍澳翠嶺里2號明愛專上學院A812室 香港電腦教育學會收」

- 支票背後請寫上學校名稱及註明YITAA報名費用。

- 本會收到報名名單及支票後將電郵聯絡負責老師。

三. 注意項目

i. 所有參與學校必須為香港電腦教育學會學校會員。

ii. 獎章申領及處理需時約一個月。學校若計劃於特定場合頒發獎狀及獎章,請預計充足時間。

iii. 由於評核學生表現可能要老師付出額外的時間,學校應視乎參與老師的數目及運作模式而考慮參加學生人數。目前學校只需填寫估計參加的學生數目,及安排一至兩位負責老師,日後仍可按需要作出調整。

iv. 本計劃只對學生提供一個獎勵機制,本會並不直接教授或評核學生,所有教學活動均為校本進行,並以盡量減少對現行課程的干預為原則。學校可自由決定以一個科目或課外活動,把不同課題融入不同科目施教,在一段短時間內密集式教授部份技能等各種方式,以令學生掌握有關資訊科技知識及能力。

Invitation to join HKACE 2018-2019 YITAA【Youth IT Ambassador Award】

【Youth IT Ambassador Award】(YITAA) is an award program which provides secondary students with a golden opportunity to learn IT through various activities. YITAA aims at:

    • Nurturing students the interest in IT
    • Fostering students’ IT literacy
    • Integrating the knowledge of different subjects
    • Pursuit of lifelong learning
    • Contributing to the society

At the moment, there are over 120 secondary schools and 13000 secondary students joining the award program. With the overwhelming response, some schools even integrate the award program into the Computer Literacy curriculum in junior forms to enhance students’ learning motivation and sense of achievement.

The table below shows different levels of YITAA, area of assessment offered by YITAA.

Four levels of YITAA:

    • gold
    • silver
    • bronze
    • certificate

Area of assessment:

    • computer operation
    • office software package
    • use of the Internet
    • multimedia production
    • basic programming
    • cloud application

Different events such as competitions, service, visits and talks will be provided by HKACE to let students apply IT knowledge in different areas. Some past or future events include:

    • Arduino Workshop, Robots Workshop, and other IT-related Workshops
    • Chinese Typing Competition
    • IT Talks
    • Visit of IT-related companies or organizations
    • Leadership training camp
    • IT-related voluntary service

EDB Technology Education has issued a document of Information Literacy for HK Students 2016 (Draft) on 16-11-2016. The IL for HK Students is developed to help schools understand how they can develop students’ knowledge, skills and attitude to use information and IT at different key stages. YITAA enhances the understanding and practical issues of IL so that students can understand the importance of IL and reflect the use of IT with the infrastructure in their schools. HKACE expresses a token of appreciation to EDB for their recognition and support to YITAA.

Steps to join YITAA:

1. Students Enrolment

    • Each student has to pay a one-off registration fee of $50.
    • The membership will last until the student graduates or reaches gold level.
    • Students will be provided with a “YITAA Record Book” for keeping track of their assessment progress.
    • If a student loses the “YITAA Record Book”, $30 administration fee will be charged for a new one.
    • Except applying for different levels of awards, no extra fee will be charged for students.

2. Application and method of payment

Interested schools please submit the following items on or before 31-10-2018:

i. Student information

- Input school name, name of students in Chinese and English, Class in a Spreadsheet file

- Name the file by “School Name”

- Mail the document to yitaa@hkace.org.hk

ii. Registration form of HKACE school membership (Attachment 1)

iii. HKACE school membership fee and YITAA membership fee of each student

- cheque should be payable to “Hong Kong Association for Computer Education” by mail or in person.

- HKACE office address is “ Room A812, Caritas Institute of Higher Education, 2 Chui Ling Ln, TKO, N.T., HK

Teachers-in-charge will receive confirmation by email.

3. Remarks:

i. Teachers will be informed of all updated news of YITAA by email, website and mail.

ii. It takes around one month to issue certificates and awards to students.

iii. As it takes time to access students, each participating school is recommended to plan ahead the number of teachers or participating students. At the moment, only the estimated number of students is to be submitted. It can be changed in the future.

iv. An assessment framework is suggested in YITAA, however, HKACE does not directly teach or assess students (except Gold Award). All teaching and learning activities are school-based, with the principle of not interfering existing lessons. Each participating school can consider to include the IT knowledge into the curriculum or co-curriculum activities, infusing different topics into different subjects, or teaching of IT skills so students can be well-equipped with IT knowledge and skills.
