I MAKE (i-make.world) is an initiative from PolyU Design to promote importance of making and maker culture in Hong Kong, especially for students and teachers in primary and secondary schools. "Making" helps students to develop life-long learning skills in an engaging way, and is associated with STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, mathematics) education and entrepreneurship in countries around the world.

PolyU is organizing a number of events which invite schools to participate, including events, competitions and the Maker Faire Hong Kong (www.makerfairehongkong.com) in this initiative. This talk is aiming for educators in primary and secondary schools to introduce them on the maker culture, how this can benefit students in their learning, and how they can get involved. Teachers from various disciplines, especially those from visual arts, design and technology, information technology, science and mathematics are welcome.
